James Edward Wilkinson, Jr. passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015. Mr. Wilkinson was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved husband of the late Miriam Wilkinson. Father of Linda Gallagher (Edward), Warren L. Gordy (Sue) and Debby G. Veith (Michael). Son of the late James E. Wilkinson, Sr. and Catherine Sewell Wilkinson. Brother of the late Margorie Solis (the late Norman). Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and a nephew. Mr. Wilkinson was retired from Sea Chest Marine. Relatives and friends, also employees of Sea Chest Marine are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Friday afternoon, August 7, 2015 beginning at 12:00 noon with a Funeral Mass to follow at 2:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
