Donna was the epitome of strength, determination and fairness. In her 59 years of life,
she was a hard-working student, wife, mother and practicing attorney. Her greatest joy
was watching her children grow, develop and succeed. Donna was a proud spectator at
her son Patrick’s lacrosse games and loved nothing more than to watch her daughter,
Katie, dance. It didn’t matter whether it was on stage, at football games or as a Mardi
Gras Krewe Queen. She always looked forward to her international travel with family
and friends.
Donna was a devoted, generous friend with a tremendous heart who cherished
relationships she built with both life-long friends and professional colleagues. She was
passionate about volleyball, the LSU Tigers, and helping others in the community. Donna
was a top honor graduate at Andrew Jackson High School and graduated summa cum
laude from LSU. Donna also excelled at Loyola Law School where she graduated first in
her class and was Editor-In-Chief of the Law Review. She was a dedicated insurance
defense attorney for over 28 years, most recently at Hebbler & Giordano, LLC.
Born January 21, 1962, Donna was the loving daughter of the late Rose and J.W.
Bramlett. Wife of James O. Wood, III. Mother of Patrick T. Wood and Katherine N. Wood. Beloved sister of Sharyn Bramlett Smith, Millicent Soroe, and Ronald Bramlett (Roseanne). Cherished daughter-in-law of James O. Wood, Jr. and the late Dawn Wood. Sister-in-law of Melinda Cole (Albert). Step-mother to Cameron A. Wood (Rebecca). Donna was also the beloved aunt to her ten nieces and nephews, their spouses, and her eight great nieces and nephews.
Donna touched many lives and will be fondly remembered by relatives, colleagues and
friends. A memorial visitation and mass will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic
Church - Loyola University Campus, 6367 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, LA 70118 on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM CST. The online guestbook is available at www.leitzeaganfuneralhome.com.
