Daniel McCall McKinnon, Jr.

Daniel M. “Danny” McKinnon Jr., age 77, of Kenner, Louisiana passed away on June 19, 2021. He was born in Quitman, Mississippi to the late Dan M. McKinnon, Sr. and Julia Merrill McKinnon; and was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. Covington; and is survived by his children, Danielle McKinnon ( Scott ) of Oakridge, Texas and Daniel McKinnon III (Jackie ) of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana.

Danny graduated from Bay Springs High School and attended Jones college, he was a member of the United States Navy and had a 30 year career with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s office. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and attended Williams Boulevard Baptist Church. His passion was Mardi Gras. He was an active member in several Krewes that spanned 50 years.

He was known and loved as “Paw Paw” Danny to many, and he had a special love for his Grand-Dogs, “Bella” and Dixie Anne, aka “My Associate”.

A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held July 10, 2021, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, Louisiana.
