A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she lived her life selflessly giving and caring passionately for her family. Her children and grandchildren were such an inspiration and blessing to her and she to them.
Clara graduated from Bordelonville High School in 1962. She moved to New Orleans in 1963 and went to work for South Central Bell. Wearing a dress of her favorite color, orange, she met Richard. They married on January 29, 1966 and shared a beautiful life together. She worked at St. Mary Magdalen’s Early Childhood Development Center after working for Aetna Insurance for 15 years.
Clara is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard N. Reggio, Sr., her children, Richard N. Reggio, Jr., Cindy Reggio Enick, Natalie Reggio Morrow (Duke), and Amy Reggio Traub (Nicky); grandchildren, Nicholas Reggio, Jennifer Reggio, Shelley Mayse, Brandon Reggio, Mikey Fenerty, J.D. Enick, Annie Enick, Gavin Reggio, Jordan Traub, Harleigh Reggio, and Matthew Traub, 6 great grandchildren, her brother Irby Laborde (Alberta), and many other dear family members including Bertha Laborde and Jill Schultz . She is predeceased by her parents, Irby Laborde and Aimee Guillot Laborde of Bordelonville and 7 brothers and sisters.
The family extends gratitude to all of the family, friends, and medical personnel that cared for her over the years.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie Louisiana 70006. Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Robert Massett presiding. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 11316 River Road, St. Rose, Louisiana.
