Charles Edward Varnado Sr.

Charles Edward Varnado, Sr. passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Wanda Dominique Varnado for 41 years. Beloved father of Cristy Varnado Hebert (David), Michelle Varnado, Rana Ann Varnado (Pat), and the late Charles Edward Varnado, Jr. Son of the late Marshall and Marilyn Graff Varnado. Brother of Joy Varnado Cantrelle (Charlie), Mitchell Varnado, and the late Marshall, Aldon, David, and Allen Varnado. Grandfather of Justin, Cabrina, Brandon, Caitlyn, Ryan, Joshua, Hunter, and the late Robby. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Born and raised in the Irish Channel and a resident of Chalmette for 33 years. He was a member of the Garden District Marching Club and former owner of Skippy’s Bar. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Theresa Specialty Hospital for the care they provided. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service from LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Tuesday Morning, July 22, 2014 at 11:00.
