This video was the most beautiful tribute I have seen. I am so sad that I did not get to know you in the "grown up" years, Barbara. As a child, I was in awe of how pretty you were, beehive hairdo and all!  What a full life you had with your amazing, loving family.  If pictures herein are a window to your world, what a wonderful world it was! I'm so sorry I didn't keep in touch with you after we grew up, and I'm heartsick that you left this world before your time. I hope your family takes comfort in knowing how happy they made you. As the time goes by our memories will never go away. I want Barbara to know I promised to take care of our wonderful Grandson and Cherie and Billy. I will keep that promise. I am so glad we had the time spent together and had a great time on our trips to Disney. To the Lambert and Maas family my heart is heavy for your lost. I am really glad that I have gotten to know the very special people in the Lambert and Maas families.

It was a pleasure meeting someone as nice and thoughtful as Barbara during our Brother Martin days. I always enjoyed talking to her. She was a real angel offering to help Lyle and my son Steven.

I was happy that we rekindled our friendship when I found out that I know her grandson. I LOVE Cameron. He is one of my FAVORITE people in the whole world!

I am truly sorry that your family has to endure such a sad time. Once in a while someone really special comes along and your life is more meaningful because they were in it. We are all lucky because our lives were touched by an angel named Barbara.

My heart goes out to you and your family. May you take comfort in knowing an angel is watching over you all.

Dear Lyle and Family,

I am so sorry to hear that Barbara has passed on into her new life! We will always remember how happy she was and still is! I remember meeting Barbara when our 2 children became involved in the Mardi Gras Ball at Alice Birney School. She was a trooper and always knew how to help, whenever needed never had to ask! We were always doing things with the kids, playing cards and oh those weekends of endless board games of men vs. women. She would here that someone close to you was sick or dying and would call her prayer group and have them praying for that person. She was the ribbon maker for the Guy's canes for the Irish/Italian marching group.  She was the one who filled out Mike's ticket when he was picked Emperor. She was one of our "Girl's Night Out" group until she got sick. We would eat then go to any store that was opened 24hrs. to shop. Then their was LSU & Saints Games, New Years Celebrations, Caesar functions, Parties at the Backdraft & Camelot, Canton, Crusin-the-Coast, Las Vegas, Tennessee Car Show, where we rented a scooter so she could get around easier with her knees.  I think we had to charge it more than she drove it. It was the good old days! She was always happy and ready to go on the drop of a dime.  Those were the good times I remember with Barbara. Love you and going to miss you Girl!  Thanks for Being a Friend!  We are here for all of you, just call us, whatever you may need.
