Anne M. Allen Frantz went home to the Lord in the early morning of Friday, the 23rd of June 2017 (the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart). She was 91 years of age and was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, J.C. Frantz. They were married in 1943. Anne was born and raised in Camden, Arkansas. She was predeceased by her mother Steena, and her father James. Anne moved to Metairie with JC in 1954 from Alexandria, LA; she never left, as Metairie became her home. Anne was the mother of six (6) children: Jay (Deacon in the Catholic Church), married to Nancy; Jim, married to Pam; Rick, married to Susie; Christy, married to Tom; Ron, and Leesa, married to Steve (deceased in 2003). Anne was the grandmother of ten (10): Jay, Shawn, Scott, Jeffery, Jeanette, Ryan, Keith, Nicole, Christopher (deceased, 1995), and Sandon. She also was great-grandmother to numerous great grandchildren and loved every one of them. Anne, in her younger days was an avid bridge player, gardener, and made many articles of clothing from scratch as she was an accomplished seamstress. She was also a 50-year lupus survivor. She was an ardent Catholic and a member of St. Philip Neri parish. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated by Father John Talamo, in the chapel of Leitz-Egan Funeral Home, 4747 Veteran's Memorial Blvd., in Metairie, at 11 AM on Thursday, 6 July 2017. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until 11 AM and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Masses or a donation to your favorite charity in her honor.
