Anita Gambino passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012 in the company of her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Elroy Gambino; her children, Jaimie G. Bergeron (C. Ray), Kevin Gambino (Debbie) and David Gambino (Mary) and grandchildren, Kevin Gambino, Jr., Jena Bergeron, Benjamin Gambino and Bryan Gambino. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Mano and Margaret Hart Mano; her sisters, Marie M. Duvernay and Auretta Mano and her brother, Anthony Mano. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie for over 60 years, Anita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Wednesday morning, August 22, 2012 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
