Linda Abernathy, age 71, passed away on April 11, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. She was born on September 25, 1953, in Austin, Texas to Jack and Colleen Lacy. Linda was raised in Seagoville, Texas and graduated from Seagoville High School in 1972.
She married Kenneth Abernathy in 1980, and the couple had 1 child. She dedicated most of her life to being a loving mother and wife. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, and reading.
Linda’s family and friends will always remember her as a loving Mimi.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Colleen Lacy and her first husband, Kenneth Abernathy.
Linda is survived by her husband, Joe Lynn Tiller; her son, John Abernathy (wife, Briana); two grandchildren, Addison and Jack; and her brother, Byron Lacy.
A visitation for Linda will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 MILITARY PKWY, MESQUITE, TX 75149. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Forney, 1003 College St, Forney, TX 75126.
