Lena Munoz Garcia

Lena was a profoundly devout Catholic, devoted spouse, mother and a tireless caregiver many. Lena and her husband, Phillip were founding members of St Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. Lena was very active in St Philip the Apostle church and school activities and was a devoted mother to all four of her children. She moved to Dogwood Trail's Manor in Woodville,Texas in 2012.

Lena was a professional seamstress for Sunny South Jo Hardin Fashions, Ship & Shore Manufacturing and Prophecy Fashions in Dallas Texas from 1948 until her retirement.

Lena passed away on May 11, 2017 and is predeceased in death by her husband Phillip C Garcia Sr., of Dallas.

She is survived by her children Phillip C Garcia Jr and wife Gloria of Allen, Texas, Charlotte Garcia Jones, Dallas, Christopher M Garcia, Dallas, Gregory M Garcia and wife Renee, Jasper, Texas. Also surviving her are grandchildren Nicholas C Garcia and wife MeLinda, Christina A Garcia, Danielle M Cade and husband Jim, Crystal Massey and husband Bo, Ashley Parsons and husband Mark, and Brooke Garcia. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Lindlee Garcia Jones. She is also survived by three great grandsons Cruz, Axle Garcia and Les Parsons and one great granddaughter Isla Garcia and soon to be born baby Massey.

The Rosary will be held at Anderson Clayton Gonzalez Funeral Home, 11111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, TX 75149 on Tuesday May 23 at 6:30 PM Viewing will be from 4-8 pm Mass of Christian Burial will be at St Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 8131 Military Parkway, Dallas, TX 75227; May 24, 2017 at 10:30 am. Internment to follow at 1pm at DFW National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St Philips Catholic School in memory of Lena.
