Alicia “Licha” Diaz Alaniz falleció el martes, 31 de octubre, 2023 en Dallas, TX a la edad de 78 años. Nacio en Pueblo Nuevo, Durango, Mexico el 13 de Noviembre de 1944. Sus padres fueron Manuel Diaz y Francisca Alaniz.
Ella emigró a los Estados Unidos en 1994 con sus dos hijas, Sonia y Maria para reunirse con su hijo Martin. Trabajo duro como ama de casa por más de 10 años.
A Licha le encantaba pasar su tiempo en familia. Su cosa favorita era ser abuela a sus 8 nietas y nieto, a quienes chiflaba inmensamente. Su familia la recordara como la mujer fuerte que siempre fue; ella daria su ultimo centavo si se lo pidieras. No tenía mucho pero lo entregaba todo por su familia.
Le precede en muerte su hijo, Martin Torres Diaz, su hermano Antonio Diaz Alaniz y sus hermanas Tomasa Raigoza Alaniz y María de Jesus Mena.
Le sobreviven sus hijas Sonia Salas y Maria Muñoz; sus nietas Viviana, Annelie, Angelica, Daniela, Jocelyn, Camila, Gia y su nieto Martin; también sus yernos Adam Salas y Andrew Muñoz; sobrinos y sobrinas, y muchas amistades.

Alicia “Licha” Diaz, age 78, died Tuesday, October 31, 2023 in Dallas, TX. She was born in Durango, Mexico on November 13, 1944 to Francisca Alaniz and Manuel Diaz.
She immigrated to the United States in 1994 with her daughters, Sonia and Maria, to join her son Martin. She was a very hard worker, and worked as a housekeeper for more than 10 years.
Licha loved spending time with her family. Her favorite thing to do was to be a grandmother to her 8 grandchildren, whom she spoiled immensely. Her family will remember her as the strong woman she always was; she would give you the shirt off her back if you were in need. She didn’t have much, but would give everything for her family.
She is preceded in death by her son, Martin Torres Diaz, her brother, Antonio Diaz Alaniz, and her two sisters Tomasa Raigoza Alaniz and Maria de Jesus Mena.
She is survived by her daughters Sonia Salas and Maria Muñoz; her granddaughters Viviana, Annelie, Angelica, Daniela, Jocelyn, Camila and Gia; her grandson Martin; her sons-in-law Adam Salas and Andrew Muñoz; many nephews and nieces, as well as many lifelong friends.
