Wayne Hunt

Wayne Hunt, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2014. He was born January 3, 1920, in Edgar County, IL, to parents Clarence and Effie Hunt. He is survived by Agnes, his devoted wife of 68 years; daughters Nancy Kay Hunt and Judy Milam; son-in-law Michael Milam; special cousin Peggy Clapp; and several other cousins.

Mr. Hunt was an Elder at the First Christian Church and later a member of the Old State Road Christian Church, both in Charleston, IL. After moving to AZ, he served an Elder at East Mesa Christian Church. He enjoyed singing in the church choirs.

Mr. Hunt retired form the Charleston National Bank after working there 39 ½ years. He was an active member of the Charleston Rotary Club. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He enjoyed woodworking, and his family and friends benefited from his projects.

Services will be held at East Mesa Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), located at 706 S. Greenfield Road, Mesa, AZ 85206 at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 30th. For further information please visit www.mariposagardens.com.
