Virginia Mae (Hall) Franklin flew into the arms of God on September 22, 2022. Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother she was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Thelma Hall, brother Jack Hall, husband Robert Franklin and daughter Linda Sue.
Virginia was born December 7, 1927, in Culver City, CA. She met the love of her life, Bobby while tutoring him in math when they were both sixteen. After high school they were married and Bob entered the Marine Corps. Virginia became the best military wife anyone could be. She was organized, prompt, friendly, and creative. She literally grew where she was planted. Bob and Virginia had four daughters, Linda Sue, Jane Ellen (David) Rizzo, Judy Lois (Ralph) Paulozzo and Joyce Marie (Russell) George. She was blessed with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Virginia was an excellent seamstress sewing all her daughter's prom, choir, and instillation gowns. She even designed and sewed one of her granddaughters wedding dresses.
She was a blessing to all who knew her. She was past president of her PEO chapter in California and active member in chapter EW in Gilbert, AZ. Virginia was the past president of the Navy Women's Golf Club in Long Beach, CA and past Guardian of bethel 290 Jobs Daughter Garden Grove. Active in her community and church was just a given for her.
Virginia was loving and kind, stepping up to help in anyway she could. Everyone who knew or knows her comment on her sweet smile and nature. Her daughters want to grow up to be just like her. Services will be held at Mariposa Gardens, on Saturday, October 15th at 1:00 PM, with a reception to follow.
