I have struggled for three days with what to write about my Godmother, whom I’ve always called Aunt Verne.  I have so many warm and wonderful memories; it would be hard to capture them in a short space.  So I decided to keep it simple, as I believe my Aunt Verne would like that best.  
I was truly blessed to have Verne and Barney Clark as my Godparents.  In fact, it was my Aunt Verne who introduced my mom and dad.  I owe my very being to her!   After both my parents were gone, my Aunt Verne was still there for me.  That was comforting.    In fact, she was always there for me.  
This tiny woman has left a huge hole in my heart and I feel truly honored to have had her be a part of my life.  Thank you Aunt Verne for everything you did for me!  I will miss you so very much!

We were so sad to learn the news of LaVerne's passing. Although we hadn't seen her in many years, we always looked forward to hearing from her and Ben at Christmas. She was a lovely woman with a kind and generous spirit. She and all her family and friends will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Laverne was such a sweet generous person and always sent cards and gifts to for every occasion.  I'm so glad I got to see her twice within the last couple of years. She was fun to be aound.  Our thoughts are with you Ben and Susie and Dennis.

Dear Uncle Ben, Dennis and Susie, I am so sorry for your loss.  The last couple of times I talked with Aunt Laverne she made me smile with her stories about KeeKee and the other animals she loved so much.  My mom and sisters send their thoughts and prayers for your loss.

I'm sitting here in tears at the loss of my best friend of 21 years. We shared so many happy times together. We rescued 199 homeless cats and many dogs through the years. We spent time just talking like good friends do and  going out to lunch and shopping. I'll always remember my friend as being so very kind and caring to everyone, people liked her immediately, she was always ready to help in any way that she could. I will miss you my dear friend. You were truly a gift from God and now your a gift to God. Goodbye my dear friend until we meet again. I love you. Your best friend MargeClearwaters
