60, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away on December 8, 2013. Stan was born on August 14 1953 to Stanley Chase and Catherine (Gregg) Chase in Norfolk, Virginia. He Married Sandra (Dehnert) Chase on December 31, 1977. Stan worked in commercial construction. Stan and Sandy raised 2 beautiful daughters in Gilbert, Arizona. His hobbies included fly fishing, photography, and remote controlled helicopters. Stan also had a newly discovered passion for Alaska. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years; daughter Heather Chase of Gilbert, Arizona; daughter Haley, son-in-law Henry, and granddaughter Kamdyn Flores of Queen Creek, Arizona; sister Diane Miller of Nampa, Idaho, and many extended family members around the country. Arrangements are entrusted to Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses, 43 S Stapley Drive, Mesa, Arizona 85204 (480) 964-4537. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Graveside service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11:00 am at City of Mesa Cemetery, 1212 N. Center Street, Mesa, Arizona 85201. A remembrance to follow the service is being held at the family residence. The family requests casual and comfortable attire as he preferred jeans to suits.
