Rosemary Filomena Goss, 59, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, surrounded by love with her husband, Jeff, and three children, Alyssa, Nicholas, and Matthew. She is also survived by the sparkle in her eyes and little sidekick, granddaughter Brooklyn Rose.
Born on December 2, 1965, in Silver Spring, Maryland, Rosemary was the youngest daughter of the late Frank and Rosemarie Farinella. She grew up with her sisters Anne (Bruce) Dube, Marie (Bill) Truitte, and Frances (Denny) McDermott, with whom she shared a lifelong bond. Rosemary is also survived by her brothers- and sisters-in-law, John (Shelley) Goss, Janel (Jimmy) Landes, and Ken Goss, as well as her dear parents-in-law, Jesse and Donna Goss. She was a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom were drawn to her vivacious spirit and infectious laughter.
Rosemary spent her childhood and early adulthood in Maryland before meeting the love of her life, Jeff. The two married shortly after college and embarked on a journey that led them to Northern Virginia, where they welcomed their first child, Alyssa. Later, work brought the family to Michigan, where they celebrated the arrivals of Nicholas and Matthew. In 2002, the Goss family settled in Arizona, which became their home for the last 22 years. Rosemary fell in love with the desert on earlier trips to Palm Springs and Las Vegas and when the opportunity arose one frigid January in Michigan, there was no backing out of the opportunity to migrate to the Valley of the Sun!
A devoted wife, mother, and Home CEO, Rosemary's life revolved around her family and paused a successful career to dedicate her time to raising her family after she was pregnant with Nick. Her children were her pride and joy, and she was not only their biggest cheerleader but also their trusted confidante and closest friend. She created a home filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, embodying warmth and unwavering support.
Rosemary’s vibrant personality shined in everything she did. She was quick with a joke, a smile, or an encouraging word, and her presence lit up any room. She had a competitive streak, as evidenced by her love of poker, sideline cheering and coaching of kid’s sports, and her wholehearted commitment to whatever she pursued was going to be a success.
After the kids were raised, Rosemary pushed back into her career and rapidly excelled in a small start-up dedicating 12 years and was a key leader building the company into a large national home loan corporation. Her colleagues at Cascade were her family where she was a strong leader and mentor. Known for her energy, wisdom, and joy, she earned the admiration and affection of colleagues who became lifelong friends. Rosemary touched countless lives with her positivity, work ethic, and genuine care for others, and is leaving a legacy of kindness and inspiration.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at All Saints Roman Catholic Church in Mesa, Arizona, on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. A GoFundMe site has been set up if you wish to contribute to her children and grandchild’s Futures Fund at: https://gofund.me/2F18FDC2
Rosemary’s light will forever shine in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family invites you to honor her life by sharing laughter, love, and cherished memories, just as she would have wanted over tears and sorrow.
