Robert Bruce Sullivan Sr. was born, May 13, 1940 in Brockton, Massachusetts to parents Gerald Andrew and Arlene Mae [Bruce] Sullivan. He passed away, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 77.
Bob and Ginny met at a graduation party being held at the Cook's home in Brockton for the class of 1962; from there they just kept building their love and interest. They married on November 9, 1963.
To Bob, “life was an open road”; he was known to many and loved by all. Bob and Ginny had shared many of the same passions in life such as skiing, target shooting, skydiving, traveling and motorcycle riding. They loved the sport of riding so much they moved to Mesa, AZ in 1992 so that they could ride any day they wanted to all year around.
He is survived by his son, Robert Bruce (Debbie) Sullivan Jr.; daughter, Robin (Louis) Mydlach; grandchildren, Kristin (John) Beels, Kaitlyn (Kendall) Crouse, Keelin Mydlach and Gianni Mydlach and his great grandchildren, Preston, Alayna and Haylee Beels and Ryder Robert Crouse. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and the love of his life, Ginny Sullivan; his sister, Norma Calef; grandchild, Keegan as well as his late wife’s riding partner, Springer – her dog.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Cemetery Chapel of Mariposa Gardens, 6747 E. Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZ. Interment will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix at 1:30pm.
