Phyllis Elaine Schneckloth

Phyllis spent her early years attending schools in Wheatland, Lingle, and Torrington, WY before moving to Colorado with her parents. She graduated from Gill High School in 1960 and pursued some college education before beginning her career at State Farm in Greeley, Colorado. It was during her time in Denver that she met the love of her life, Roger Schneckloth. Their whirlwind romance began on St. Patrick's Day; they were engaged by Memorial Day, and married on August 31, 1968. Together, they built a life filled with love and adventure.

The couple initially resided in Wheatridge, Colorado, for a year before settling in Arvada until May 1976. During this time, they welcomed two children into their lives: Stacey and Steven. In May of that year, the family moved to a small acreage in Erie, Colorado, where Phyllis would spend the next four decades deeply involved in her community and family life. She worked for the local school district for 20 years and was an active participant in her children's activities. Phyllis retired from teaching in June of 2004.

Phyllis had a passion for travel and shared countless adventures with Roger over the years. Together they visited 48 of the 50 United States as well as destinations across Europe, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand. They went to Alaska, Hawaii, and Disneyland with their daughter, Stacey's family. One particularly cherished trip took them to Germany, Switzerland, and Austria while their son, Steven, was stationed overseas with the military.

In addition to traveling, Phyllis enjoyed reading and playing cards with friends during biweekly gatherings. She treasured time spent with loved ones and delighted in taking her grandchildren to McDonald's - a simple joy that brought smiles to all.

Phyllis is survived by her devoted husband of over 56 years, Roger Schneckloth; her daughter Stacey (Steve) Eichinger; her son Steven Schneckloth; three grandchildren: Ashlynn Schneckloth, Colten Eichinger, and Chloe Eichinger; and two great-grandchildren: Alayah Arriola and Angelo Arriola Jr.

A memorial service will be held on January 3, 2025, at Mountain View Lutheran Church in Mesa at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon at the Family Life Center. A private internment will take place at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona. Additionally, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in Erie, Colorado.

Phyllis lived a life rich with love for family and friends and left behind memories that will be cherished by all who knew her. May her legacy of kindness and joy bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
