Mari Elcena Wolff

Mari Elcena Wolff (née Bloszies), age 73, passed away on December 7, 2024, in Mesa, AZ. The daughter of Fred and Ruth (Foland) Bloszies, Mari was born in Omaha, Nebraska May 22nd, 1951. On August 29th, 1981. Mari and Bill Wolff were married in Whittier, CA and spent 43 years together.

Completing her education at Iver C. Ranum High School in Westminster, CO, she began her career as a warehouse clerk at Bell & Howell Company in Los Angeles, CA. Demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication, Mari quickly ascended to the position of Office Manager, and eventually becoming the Western Area Administration Coordinator, a prestigious role held by only four individuals nationally at Bell & Howell.

Mari had a love for anything crafty and creative. She always had a knack for creating original pieces and loved painting miniatures. In her younger years she was an excellent bowler and enjoyed skiing and boating with family and friends. Later in life she translated her skills with precise work into detailed coloring as her main creative outlet. She also enjoyed cooking, and no one left the house hungry. Mari could start a conversation and make friends with anyone. She seemed to recognize and gravitate towards anyone who needed that connection the most.

Mari is survived by her husband, William (Bill), her daughter Stephanie (Jessica) Wolff, her brothers Charles (Courtney) and Jeff (Linda) Bloszies, and sister-in-law Patti (Dave) LaLuzerne (née Wolff).

In remembrance of Mari, charitable donations may be made to the American Thoracic Society at thoracic.org. This organization works to further research and improve patient care involving pulmonary disease and critical illness.
