John F. Keffler passed away on November 2, 2011, in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Born in Canton, Ohio, to Francis and Celia (nee Rebillot) Keffler, John arrived on June 5, 1925. He served in WWII, joining the Army Air Corp in 1943, he flew with the 436th Bomb Squadron. In 1949 he graduated from Marquette University. John married the love of his life, JoAnn, on August 5, 1950 at Marquette University Chapel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. John joined his father at Keffler Plumbing & Heating in Canton, OH after college. In retirement he moved to Arizona, where he enjoyed many a day on the golf course with friends and family. John is survived by loving wife JoAnn, son Doug of Mesa, grandsons D. Jason of San Diego, and Jeffrey R. of Apache Junction, and sister Nancy Helline of Massillon, OH and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson Joshua John, and brothers Richard and James. A memorial service honoring John will be held at the Church of Ascension in Fountain Hills, Arizona on Saturday, November 12th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his memory to VFW Post 7507, P.O.
