So many memories  my first was who is the girl with all that hair!  After that how we spent many an hour on the phone talking, getting to know that we liked each other.  We instantly became like sisters.  More memories  going to 2001 Club in my maid of honor dress  the many holidays Easter, Thanksgiving and especially Christmas  (sigh).  Although over the years we drifted apart as many family members do, Ginnette is very special to me in many ways. One because she gave me nieces and nephews.  I first experienced the love for a child because I had them.  First Regina (the petite baby girl with the blond afro puffs), then L'erin (whom she gave such a unique name that suits her), then Jackie (whom I refer to as Jumpin' Jack Flash cause she could never be still) and B.J. (finally the boy, his mama's boy  no, more like fierce protector). One of my fondest memories was the day she let me take you all to the beach for the day.  By then I had my own child to love. We had so much fun, I lost track of time and she wasn't even mad I kept you away so long.  And even though Devan wasn't there that day; we got to spend time together some years later with my other sons at his first trip to a theme park. I am really fond of those memories, too.  What a privilege that she entrusted me with that that was so precious to her even after I burnt the lemon cake (ask your Dad about that).  I was truly honored. 
Nieces and Nephews, know that your mom touched so many people's lives and they were all enriched by it. I know that I was truly blessed to have known her.
May she rest in eternal peace, suffering no more, in the glory of God's embrace.

My Daughter Megan married her son Frank i was just getting to know her and was taken way too soon what I've seen was Ginnette was the Glue to her family that kept them together be  strong for each other she'll always be with you in your heart and memories of fun and Laughter....

I did not have the pleasure of meeting Ms.Ginnette however, I am friends with her beautiful daughter L'erin. I would like to extend my condolences to the family! L'erin if you need anything I'm just a phone call away! May God give you all peace during this hard time.

Wow mama Ginnette...I cant believe you have already been called to the angels above. I know your family really loves you and really needs you. You were always so caring, nice and loving to all of us and to the Carrasquillo family. None of us are perfect and we all still have more room to grow and improve. I know I was really overbearing and crazy at times but I would do anything your family and mine if you needed it. I always felt nothing but love from you and your family. And, with all my faults and craziness, I hope that I made a positive impact in your and your family's life. You will be forever loved and missed!

I remember the time Ginnette asked what my middle name was. I told her it was Monique. For the next few weeks when she needed me she was call out KRYSTAL MONIQUE!!! After maybe a week of calling my name I come out of the room, look at her and said, 'Maybe I Shouldn't have told you my middle name". We both just started laughing together. Every now and then she would still yell out my name. KRYSTAL MONIQUE!! I loved her and will miss her deeply. I do believe in an after life and I know she is with God. I love you Ginnette! Words can not express how difficult this is for me to write. Growing up during the prime years of my life Mama J was my mother. From advice about boys to simply being there to listen she was there. She was such an amazing woman with such a beautiful soul. I feel honored to have met and loved her. I will truly miss her. Fly high Mama J and enjoy Paradise. Until we see each other again.

Words cannot express the emotions and feelings that I have felt over this incredible loss. My mother was one of my greatest supporters and is responsible for the incredible strength I am able to live today, even in the loss of her. I am the woman I am because of her. I know she will be with me to guide me in my future and have a hand in all my blessings to come. I was impressed by Ginnette kind smile and personality from the moment I met her. She will surely be missed by all that knew her.

Ginnette was the type of person that if there was a way she could help someone in need, she did.  I met Ginnette during a time of family crisis.  Our house had just burned down. Police, fire department, family members and more on the way just standing out front.  She welcomed us all into her home while all was being sorted out.  She did not stop there.  She offered her home for a place my children could stay before and after school while I worked.  She did this for several months.  I will always be grateful for her kindness and friendship. Rest in peace Ginnette.  You made tough times a little easier for  many people.

If you have never experienced motherly love, all you had to do was be in her presence for just a moment to get a feeling of complete acceptance. Not only was she loving, and sincere, but she was a great friend. I was blessed to know her through meeting one of my best friends, and quickly after, adopted her as one of my mothers! She was always there to offer sound advice, listen when we needed her to, and never judged anyone. I truly love this woman, and will miss her dearly. ~Rest in Heaven, until we meet again~

Words cannot express the incomplete feeling I live with now. Time will heal all wounds, but this cuts deep into my heart. You may be gone from us, but I feel you around me more than ever. I met Ginnette over 12 years ago when my son, Omar, first started dating her youngest daughter, Jackie.  We hit it off as co-Mothers-in-law and I can say that one of the things we shared and admired about each other is the deep, abiding love we have for our children!  Ginnette had a kind heart and was always willing to help others.  She will be sorely missed, but Heaven definitely got another angel!  (PS, she made wonderful potato and macaroni salads!)

Ginnette my friend I will miss you!!!! We have been  friends since 1973, one of pictures from the slide show is from my wedding.  I was maid of honor at your wedding.  We've shared a lot thorough out the years.  No matter how much times passes or where we are, we've always picked up where we left off!!   You are a very special wonderful courageous woman.  I will miss our long over due long phone calls!!!  I will miss hearing what's new and reminiscing the good old days!  Rest in peace my friend, you will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
