She was survived by her children Beverly Drummond of Mesa, AZ, Carl Grimes of Denver, CO, David Grimes of Mesa, AZ, Alan Grimes of Denver, CO, 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles E. Grimes, on December 25, 1980, her second husband, Robert Bartlett Sr., her parents Carl and Ida Bennett of Farmer City, Ill, and her sisters Lorraine Green, Doris Gilmore, and Joyce Miller.
She was born near Farmer City, Illinois on January 11, 1918 and married Charles Grimes on January 16, 1938. She lived as a farm wife until January 1978 when she and Charles moved to Mesa, AZ to retire and enjoy the warm weather.
She was a strong, practical woman who loved creative projects including sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, ceramics, and any new creative endeavor she could find. She was a member of the Busy Needles Club and Weedman Methodist Church in Farmer City, Ill.
