Douglas M. Blakely, 81, of Tempe passed away on April 11, 2016. He was born on June 25, 1934, the oldest son of Monroe and Dorothy Blakely. Doug served in the Air Force from 1954 to 1958 and upon being discharged worked for his father at Blakely Oil Company. He eventually became a civilian helicopter pilot and flew for three years in Nepal. Doug also flew throughout the southwest and Alaska. He is survived by his wife, three sons, two grandchildren and two sisters. Services will be private.
