Diana Kathryn Foster

Diana Kathryn Foster, 84, of Gilbert, AZ peacefully passed away with her children, Deanna and Eric on December 21, 2019. She was born July 18, 1935 in Santa Monica, CA to William Louis and Virginia Louise [Gapen] Perry. Her childhood friend since she was a year old and considered her sister was Patti. These two friends grew up sharing a life of joy unsurpassed by all who knew the two. Diana loved horseback riding and going to the roller skating rink. Diana married the love of her life James Howard Foster on August 1, 1953. She later worked for Bank of America, Independence Bank, and Valley Presbyterian Hospital. Diana was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, who was devoted to her family and loved her children very much! The most important aspect with her children was to teach them to be responsible citizens in life and to treat one another as you would have them treat you. Diana is survived by her children, Deanna Louise Mate' and her husband Tom, Eric James Foster and his wife Laurie, grandchildren Kurt Christopher Foster and wife Jeni, Sara Christine (Foster) Blanken, Husband Bobby, 7 great grandchildren, Levi Foster, Madelyn Foster, Isabelle Blanken, Thomas Blanken, Elise (Sweet Pea) Blanken, Josiah (J.J.) Blanken and Autumn Blanken. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Virginia, her sister, Virginia Louise “Giney Lou” Perry- Hollearn and her beloved husband of 47 years, James Howard Foster. She will be lovingly missed. Diana will be laid to rest with her husband at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd in Phoenix.
