David Weissert, 77, of Gold Canyon AZ, passed away January 4, 2014 with his family by his side. He was survived by his wife Marla, son Dennis, daughter-in-law Cassie, stepdaughter Shari and grandchildren Danielle, Garrett and Delaney and Vincent and many nieces and nephews and other family members that loved him. He was born in Clifton, NJ on June 1, 1936 and served in the Air Force from 1954 to 1960 and retired from General Motors in 1992 after 32 years of service. He was a PER for the Payson Elks Lodge. He loved his family and computing.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Melcher Mortuary on Thursday Jan 9th 6625 E Main St Mesa 85205. Visitation will be from 11-1 with Services at 1pm. Reception following at Mesa Buckhorn Elks Lodge 6718 E Avalon St Mesa AZ 85205 at 2pm. A Military Service will be held 11:00 am Friday, January 17, 2014 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85024 .Family requests donations to the Veteran's Association in lieu of flowers.
