Survived by his wife of 63 years, Lois Hancock, son Wayne Hancock (Jamie), son Roger Hancock (Kim), grandchildren Madison (Alex), Trevor (Samantha), Riley (Jeremy), Ryan, great grandchildren Elijah, Nora, Josiah, siblings Irene Picard (Bob), Paulette Watts (Dwight), Carey Hancock (Anita), Danny Hancock (Myrna) and many special nephews and nieces.
Charles served his country in the Mississippi National Guard and the US Navy aboard the heavy cruiser USS Rochester (CA-124) until honorably discharged in 1960. He then spent the balance of his career in sales in the transportation battery industry until retired. Charles was passionate for supporting the youth and his pastors at Maywood Nazarene (CA) and Tempe Nazarene (AZ) while serving many years on the executive board.
He is preceded in death by his father Archie Vernon Hancock, mother Elnora Irene Hancock, sister Ramona Hancock and nephews Brandon, Cheyne, Allen and great-grandniece Gia.

A visitation for Charles will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 South Dobson Road, Mesa, Arizona 85202. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Tempe Nazarene Church, 3929 S Rural Rd, Tempe, Arizona 85282. A committal service will occur Monday, September 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85024.
