Micheal was born September 2, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Ben and Viola Richardson. He was the second of three children, his oldest brother, Bennie Odel, preceded him in death.
Micheal met and married Barbara Ann Richardson in Utah, in 1976. Barbara Ann waits to be reunited with him. Together they created one child, but also raised another. Micheal graduated from Westminster College in 1978 and Utah Technical College in 1983. Michael served as SSgt. in the United States Air Force for 8 years and spent 40 years serving the Federal Government. He also worked with the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 7 years and for Department of Contract Management, in the Dept. of Defense for 25 years, where he retired early to spend time with his wife.
Micheal was a devoted and loving husband and father. For those who knew him, he was always quick with a sly smile or dry joke. He enjoyed playing scrabble with his family, never turned away a Star Trek episode, or a sweet treat. He was a habitual early riser, who didn’t mind living his day before many had breakfast. He worked hard and was patient and kind. Most importantly, he loved spending all the little moments with his wife, whom he adored.
Micheal lovingly leaves behind one daughter and two step-sons, Nicole and Lawrence B. and André S.; one grandchild, Alex U.; his sister, Theresia; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and some friends.
