Besides his wife, Margaret Ann (Roberts) Gentles, he is preceded in death by one brother, Neil Gentles, two sons: Richard Bruce Gentles and David “Bobby” Robert Gentles, Jr., one daughter, Veronica Rose Gentles-Price, two Granddaughters: Gwendolen (Peels) Gentles, and Charise Gentles, and one Grandson, James “Jimbo” Gentles.
He is survived by one son, James Gentles of Melbourne, three sisters: Thelma Duquesnay of Palm Bay, Fl, Veta Foote of Toronto, CAN., Patricia Heimstra of Vancouver, CAN., and one brother, Keith Gentles of Jamaica, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, April 27th, at Wylie Baxley Funeral Home in Merritt Island from 5 p.m – 7 p.m and a military burial at Brevard Memorial Park in Cocoa, FL on Friday, April 28th at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Health First, William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay.
