Services for Dorothy “Dottie” Jean Pace will be held Friday, July 21st, 11:00 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with Bro. Curt Pace and Bro. Corey Fontain officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Pace, 90, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday at Rush Specialty Hospital.
Dottie was an avid sports fan, and she loved Tennessee Vols women’s basketball. However, bowling was her favorite sport and she enjoyed playing for many years. She was a graduate of Centerhill School and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church
Dottie was employed by Burnley shirt factory for more than 40 years until it closed and then at Publix warehouse until she retired.
Dottie was loved by everyone and loved spending time with family.
She was also a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
She is survived by brother Gerald Pace (Marie); sister-in-law Dorothy Nell Pace; nephews Joe Pace (Janet) and Bill Pace; nieces Teri Fairchild (Ronnie), Leslie Perkins (Doyle), Cindy Daugherty (Daryl), and Beth Shannon (Jason); 12 great nieces and nephews; and 7 great great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Curtis Leroy Pace and Gladys Marie Snowden Pace; and brothers Kermit Pace, Delbert Pace, and an infant brother.
Pallbearers will include her nephews and great nephews.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
