Ginny was born in Concordia, Kansas where her Dad worked on the railroad and still found time to coach youth baseball. Ginny loved to be a part of anything her Dad did. She considered herself her Dad’s “boy” until brother Bill was born. Ginny moved to Miltonvale, Kansas where she finished high school and junior college. It was there that she met and fell in love with Del Fessenden. They were married in 1943. Del enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at Castle AFB in 1958. Ginny was involved at Central Presbyterian Church teaching Bible School, helping with the youth, and attending women’s bible studies.
She was a homemaker, a den mother, and a seamstress. She loved to wallpaper and upholster. She also took up golf and loved to be out on the golf course.
After 27 years of marriage, Del and Ginny divorced. Ginny became a teacher’s aide at McSwain School for 20 years, where she loved working with children. In 1974, she married Leonard Randall, embracing his family and being quickly embraced by them. While attending the Methodist Church, she served at the UMW’s estate sales, Habitat for Humanity, and Emmaus.
Ginny became a Christian as a child. Because of her close relationship with Christ, she impacted many lives with her generosity and love.
