Lois Faith McGee

Lois Faith (Nix) McGee of Merced, California went to be with her Lord at the age of 84 years old on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Merced. She was born to the late Luther and Clementine (Lynch) Nix on November 28, 1933 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Lois married James R. McGee at the age of 18 years old in Georgia, traveled to Europe for her husband's military duty, and finally settled down at Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, California, where they would remain and have four beautiful children. Lois was a hard working woman who worked as the Director of the Castle Air Force Base Day Care Center for 25 years. After retirement she continued with providing childcare services at the Bethesda Community Day Care Center, teaching and caring for many children. Lois dedicated her life to loving the Lord, her family, and her church family. She brought a smile, great sense of humor, charm and words of encouragement to all those around her. In her spare time, Lois enjoyed spending time with loved ones and tending to her flower garden. Lois was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Lois is survived by her sister Sarah Barozzini, her three children: James Arthur, Angela Faith and Kevin Ray, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
