Linda J. Caton

October 6, 1949-November 19, 2011

Linda Joy Gorrell was born to Verna Westmoreland and Leonard Gorrell on October 6, 1949 and passed away on November 19, 2011 at the age of 62.

In high school, Linda was on the swim team and was an awesome diver. She also belonged to a Sorority Club, Beta Sigma Phi. Linda enjoyed cooking for her family and friends; camping; vegetable gardening; making special cards for everyone; and going to Pismo Beach with her husband, Jim and walking on the beach. Cookie baking for Christmas was a favorite time of the year. Linda’s grandchildren were the lights of her life.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Verna; father, Leonard; and sister, Shirley Prothro.

Linda is survived by her husband, Jim Caton; daughter, Kimmie and her husband Rich Kottke; sons, Terry and his wife Debra Huie and Everett Huie; stepchildren, Cat, Chrissie, Brian, and Russell; grandchildren, Raymond, Cooper, Owen, Hunter, Kaylee, Levi, Taylyn, Dayton, Audrey, Conner, Tanner, Carson, Kendall, and Katie; 2 great grandchildren; godson, Brandon Furman; sister, Judy and her husband Bruce Steeve of Washington; brother Bob and his wife Shelly Gorrell of Oklahoma; and stepfather, Fred Westmoreland.

A memorial service will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 10:00am followed with a get together at Carrow’s Restaurant at 11:00am. A memory book will be available and family is requesting people to write a memory of Linda in it.
