David Virgil Hammit was born on October 31, 1950 and passed away on March 3, 2020 in Clovis, California.
David previously lived in Atwater, Mariposa, Germany and Taiwan while he served in the United State Army. David also worked in communication operations, and was a tow truck operator and sales. He loved restoring classic cars.
David is survived by his loving wife Nancy Leake-Hammit of Chowchilla, California; daughter Nicole Hammit of San Jose, California; stepchildren Jennifer Sanchez and husband David of Merced, California, Kristina DuPont-Nego of Livingston, California and Dean Hammit of Merced, California. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Anthony and Hailey Sanchez.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dean Hammit and Ruby Sprotte (Barth) as well as his brother Darell Hammit.
