life among family and friends in Merced, California. Connie graduated from Merced High
School in 1967, Merced Junior College in 1969, and graduated with her BA from Chapman
University. Connie worked at the drapery factory until she found her niche in the insurance
business; she worked for Farmer’s Insurance from 1972 until her retirement in 2008. Connie
enjoyed yearly trips to Monterey with her long time friend Karen and spending weekends with
her family. Connie was an avid reader and loved romance novels best. She never missed a
Sunday watching baseball, football, or golf with her Mom; some of her best times were spent
with family at her parent’s home. Connie was a collector of antiques, quilts, and cat figurines.
Connie is survived by her brother Jerry (Debra) Widick, brother-in-law Jim Chandler, nieces:
Stacey and Lisa Chandler, Katie and Alana Widick and nephews: Phillip and Aaron Widick.
Great nieces: Amanda Blackman, Alysan, Lindsay, and Hailey Widick; Dominique, Alyssa, and
