Betty Jean was born October 25, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Payton and Ruby Ooten. She was raised in Ohio with her older sister Margaret, brothers Herschel, James and Payton Jr. As a student Betty's favorite subjects were Art and Music. In High School she excelled in swimming.After high school Betty met and married Franklin Delano Roosevelt Sizemore. Betty and Frank have six boys and one daughter: Franklin Jr. , Wayne, Larry, Eddie, David, Dianne and Donavan. Betty has sixteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren. As a child, Betty lived through the Great Depression and later, as a young woman, World War II. Betty remembered Depression Cake, growing a Victory Garden and her brothers selling newspapers to make extra money. She recalled the day her oldest brother Herschel left to serve in the Merchant Marines as one of the hardest days of her life. Betty became a Christian as a young woman through the testimony of her sister Margaret. She remained a faithful Christian all her life, influencing her children and her grandchildren with her faith in God. As Betty grew older and her physical body weaker she looked forward to Heaven, to see Jesus the Lord she loved so much. She leaves behind her brothers Herschel and Payton, her sons Frank, Larry, Eddie, David and Donavan and her daughter Dianne.
