Barbara Jean Conley

Barbara Jean Conley (Barnett) was born on June 6, 1936 to Harold and Opal Kirk in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Barbara passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on April 2, 2016 in Le Grand, California, at the age of 79. At around the age of 10, Barbara and her family moved to Porterville, California where she lived for 15 years. She later moved to Le Grand, California, where she made her home for the past 42 years.

Barbara was a Resource Specialist at Le Grand Elementary School. She loved to read, crochet and do crossword puzzles. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara did not know a stranger; her door and heart were always open to those in need.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Harold L. Kirk and Opal E. Kirk; sister, Delores Kirk and son, Robert Barnett.

Barbara is survived by her children, Debra (Linden), Teri, Tina (Sergio), Kim (Wes) and Danny (Tricia); stepchildren, Dianne, Wanda, Beverly, Kathy, Sugar, and Douglas; grandchildren, Tonya , Todd, Joshua, , Melissa, Juanita, Patricia, Jaime, Sergio, Breana, Jeffrey, Justin, Britney, Kay-lynn, Cody, Abagail, Wes, Daniel, Zachary, Savanna and Priscilla; 38 great-grandchildren and 12 great great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, California. A reception will follow services at 13179 Murdock Street, Le Grand, California, 95333.
