Born in Akron, Colorado to Lloyd (Monk) LeRoy Cline and Charlotte (Lottie) Geniva Cline on February 18th 1944. Tom was the 4th of nine children.
After attending school in Akron, until his Junior year, the family moved to Messex, Colorado where Tom finished his senior year and graduated from Merino High School in 1962. On May 28, 1962, Tom joined the US Army, serving in the Signal Corps in Vietnam for almost a year.
On July 9, 1964, in Simla Colorado, Tom married Barbara Joyce (Joyce) Boren. The couple lived in Colorado Springs and welcomed three daughters. Robin Cline (Witham) Christine Cline (Shelley) and Jennifer Cline (Vanderpool).
Tom and Joyce were active members of First Christian Church in downtown Colorado Springs. Tom and Joyce were also very active in the Square Dance community for many years. On October 15, 2013,
after 49 years of marriage, Tom lost his wife Joyce after battling a terminal illness.
On January 23, 2016, Tom remarried Sheila Williams and moved to California, where he resided until his death.
Survivors include his three daughters, Robin Witham (husband Mark) of Iowa, Christine Shelly (husband Christopher) of Mead, Co and Jennifer Vanderpool (husband Jason) of Colorado Springs along with
9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Siblings include Patsy Cure, Daniel Cline, Cindy Stimits, Michael Cline and James Cline, all of Colorado and preceded in death by both parents, his brother Robert Cline, and sisters Lorene Patrick and Sharon Cline.
Thomas Cline’s memorial service will take place at First Christian Church, 16 E. Platte Ave., Colorado Springs, Colorado on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 1:00pm.
Following the service, at 3:00pm, there will be a Military Honors Ceremony at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Rd., Colorado Springs, Co, to honor Tom’s service to our country.
