Carolina Salazar, born on October 20, 1938, in Jalisco, Mexico, passed away peacefully at the age of 85. She left to be with the Lord, reunited with her beloved husband, Lupe Salazar, who preceded her in death in 2020.
Carolina was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all. She is survived by her loving children, Carolyn Salazar, Corina Rosas, and Lupita Salazar. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Diana Salazar.
She was the daughter of Maria de Jesus Romero and sister to Robert Gomez, who also preceded her in death. She is also survived by her sisters, Rosie Delgado, Lucy Morin, Rachel Romero, and Grace Arroyo, with whom she shared a deep and loving bond.
Carolina was a proud grandmother to Raymond Aguilera, Karina Rosas, Kimberly Flowers (spouse John Flowers), Gabriel Rosas (spouse Claudia Rosas), Christopher Rosas, Tiffany Ruiz (spouse Jamie Ruiz), Denisha Felix (spouse George Felix), Dianthony Viduarry, and Ditrina Perez (spouse Gilbert Perez). Her legacy continues through her 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy and pride.
Carolina had many passions in life, including a love for Mexican music and knitting. She had a special fondness for roses and birds, especially parakeets, robins, and canaries. Her rose garden was a reflection of her nurturing spirit, and she took great pride in tending to her beautiful flowers. Above all, Carolina loved her family deeply and found great fulfillment in the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Carolina’s kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a devoted widow, a loving matriarch, and a woman of great faith.
Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
A visitation for Carolina will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Miller-Jones Menifee Memorial Park and Mortuary, 26770 Murrieta Rd., Menifee, CA 92585, followed by a chapel service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
