Carla was born on April 24, 1952. She lived in Menasha all of her life, transitioning from daughter to companion, chauffer, confidante, and interpreter for her aging mother. Carla was employed for more than 35 years by Presto Products of Appleton, retiring about five years ago. She maintained many relationships and friends from those working years. Reading, traveling, and visiting casinos were her favorite leisure activities. She had hoped to join her sisters for a Hawaiian cruise this year. Carla especially adored little children and through the years loved her nieces and nephews as her own, taking many of them with her to such places as the Black Hills, Disneyland in CA and Disney World in FL. Carla never wavered in her dedication, generosity and love of her family. Carla will be missed by her loving sisters: Laurie (Ronald) Rhode, Gail (Jerome) Ashbeck, Pamela (Donald) Peterson; her loving brother, Joey (Melody) Dallman; sister-in-law, Cynthia Dallman; all of Neenah-Menasha; and all of her nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother: Mervin W. and Verna F. (Erdmann) Dallman; her brother, John W. Dallman; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church (WELS), 407 Oak Street, Neenah, with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, January 10, from 4–8 pm at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha. Visitation will again be on Wednesday morning from 10 am until the time of the service at the church. Interment will take place at Resthaven Cemetery, Menasha. The family wishes to thank Theda Care at Home Hospice for their kindness and care in allowing Carla as much dignity in death as was possible. We also thank the many friends and relatives who came to express their love and concern to Carla. We thank you, Amy Jo, for being there as Carla’s friend, giving her the outlet of laughter and fun. A special thanks to Pastor Tony McKenzie for reading the beautiful Christmas Story in the King James Version. It was one of Carla’s last joys as she prepared to meet her Savior.
