Wanda Bland Greene

Wanda Bland Greene, 82 of Memphis passed away April 21, 2014. Wanda was retired from Presbyterian Day School where she worked as an administrative assistant. Wanda loved her family and girlfriends, her church, Bible study, walking, sewing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her three girls. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Bland Walton, Kay Bland Melvin, Karol Bland Turner; sons-in-law, John Walton, Bob Melvin, Michael Turner; brother, Dwight Hartline; in-laws, Wenelle Hartline, Kitty Cross, Joe Cross and Delores Hartline; grandchildren, Katherine Golden, Emily Fernandez, Anna Melvin, Mary-Grace Turner, Michael Drew Turner, Katherine’s husband, James Golden and Emily’s husband, Josh Fernandez; great grandchildren, Kaylee Golden, Izabelle Fernandez and Noah Fernandez. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Hobart and Grace Hartline; brothers, Hobart Hartline, Jr., James Hartline, Herschel Hartline and husbands, Lester A Bland and Freeman Greene. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 24 from 5-8 PM and funeral services will be at 2 pm on Friday, April 25 both at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue. Burial will be at Forest Hill East Cemetery. Memorials may be in Wanda’s honor to: Missions at First Baptist Church, Collierville.
