Velma E. Smith

Velma Ford Smith, 86, of Collierville, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015. She was a member of First Assembly of God, Collierville. Mrs. Smith, the widow of Thomas E. Smith, is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Ron) Davis of Collierville; three sons, Keith (Carla) Smith of Southaven, Tim (Mary) Smith of Cordova and Sam (Cindy) Smith of Memphis; two sisters, Shirley Leake of Hendersonville, TN and Doris Henderson of Southaven; a brother, Jerry Ford of Atoka, TN; seven grandchildren, Jessica Kee, Joshua Smith, Rachel Smith, Jake Davis, Heather Linnemann, Carly Smith and Casey Smith; and seven great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Ford and Helen Cooper and a brother, Thomas Ford. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 25 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 5599 Poplar Ave. The family will receive guests beginning at 12:30.
