Shirley Kolp Key

Shirley Joan Kolp Key, 73, passed away on December 13, 2011, following a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William R Key. Shirley graduated from Lausanne School for Girls in 1956. She was the Livestock Director of the MidSouth Fair for over 30 years. After retirement, Shirley enjoyed volunteering at the Pink Palace.

Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Kolp Key; two sons, William Carroll Key and Kevin Patrick (Kim) Key; and seven grandchildren: Jennifer Key, Andy Key, Katy Key, Molly Key, Ally Key, Avery Key, and Bryant Cater. Additional surviving family members include two sisters, Betty Lou Kolp Peck (Pat) and Patricia Kolp Kile (Phil), as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 5599 Poplar Avenue. Funeral Services will be Friday at 12:00 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 5296 Park Avenue. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. Memorial donations can be made to Youth Villages INC.
