Sara was born May 27, 1963 in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas to Elizabeth and James Owens. She was a graduate of White Station High school, Class of 1981, where she made many lifelong friends. Sara married Anthony Hoover on December 6, 1985. Their first daughter, Megan Lane, was born September 1990. In 1994, their second daughter, Emily Gail was born. For the last 25 years, she was an employee of Loeb Properties. Sara was known for being strong-willed and always speaking her mind. If you were a friend of Sara’s, then you always had someone in your corner fighting for you. Sara will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind her mother, Elizabeth Owens; daughters, Megan Hoover and Emily Hoover (Cody Henderson); siblings, Elizabeth Owens, Virginia Scott (Bill Scott, John Scott), James Owens Jr, Theresa Butler (Chris Butler, Lee Butler, Andrew Butler).
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 9 from 1pm to 2pm with the service celebrating Sara's Life to begin at 2pm. All services will be held at Memphis Funeral Home - Poplar.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Sara’s name to the Glioblastoma Foundation or the American Cancer Society
