Bob was raised in Paris, Tennessee before moving to Memphis. He went to Treadwell High School where he met his high school sweetheart. He was a skilled baseball player, with hopes of going professional until he fell in love and married the love of his life Betty.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years, Betty along with their 3 children, Judy (Dennis), Janice (Hal) and Robbie (Susan). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren Brittany, Brandon, Corey and Beau with 5 great-grandchildren Peyton, Landon, Ainsley, Lane and Ledger.
For 10 years, he owned his own upholstery company while working with Elvis Presley Enterprises during that time. He also was always busy helping others in any way possible.
Bob coached baseball, bowled and traveling with his wife and family. He loved his Lord, his family and friends and with a passion that only some possess. His favorite book was the Bible and never went to bed without reading and studying the Word of God.
Until health reasons occurred, he was a devoted member of Ellendale Baptist Church and regularly attended Sunday School with a class that has continued to pray, visit and keep in touch with him.
Bob was a loving, kind, patient, hard-working, God loving man. He was a devoted and loving husband, dad, granddad and great-granddad to his loving family. He was also a lifelong friend to countless others.
Bob will be greatly missed by everyone, and was the love of our life, but although he is not with us on Earth, we will all be together one day in heaven. We all love you.
