Robert Ray Clay, 65, of Cordova, TN, died August 31, 2013. He was an avionics technician with Avionics Systems, Inc and a Vietnam War Navy veteran. He graduated from Milton High School in 1966 and was a resident of South Louisiana for 60 years before moving to Tennessee. He is survived by his wife, Mary Clay; children, Jennifer Ann Clay and Elizabeth Clay Collins and son-in-law, Jamie Collins of Arnaudville, LA; brother, Jeff Clay of Dallas, TX and his father, Stanley R. Clay of Ft. Myers, FL. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nedra Jane Shafer Clay and sister, Jane Susan Clay Miller. There will be a gathering of family and friends Wednesday evening, September 4, from 5-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project.
