Patricia Townsend Watson, “Big MaMa” of Germantown, TN passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, February 17, 2013. Patricia graduated from South Side High School in 1966. She was also a member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church. For the past 4 ½ years, she was an active volunteer with Cub Scout Pack 368. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Townsend. She leaves her husband of 46 years, Robert Watson. One son Daniel Watson (Ashley Day) of Germantown, TN, one grandson, Christian Forrest Watson of Germantown, TN. She also leaves one sister, Trebia Rodgers (Danny) of Grenada, MS, a sister-in-law Katherine Trainor (Jimmy), and a brother-in-law Leonard Watson (Deborah) of Oakland, TN.
“Big MaMa “loved and nurtured her family and her boys, Daniel & Forrest. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Ave. Funeral services will commence Friday, February 22, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Memory Hill Gardens on 3700 N. Germantown Parkway.
