He grew up in South Memphis, graduated, worked, and traveled abroad. During his early years, Michael enjoyed playing the guitar and he was an avid soccer player. He was fascinated with astrology and studied history. He was a history buff which pursued his world travels.
Michael was heartfelt in helping disabled Veterans while employed at the VA Medical Center. In his latter years, he was employed at Millington Naval Air Station.
His world travels included Amsterdam, Austria, France, and Germany. Michael spent most of his adulthood in Germany where he enjoyed his passion for the people, food, and culture.
Michael is survived by his Mother, Isabel Henson; two brothers, Richard and Arthur; three sisters, Margaret, Vera, and Patricia; many special friends, specifically his best friend Manny; many nieces and nephews; and beloved family dog, Rico.
