Martha Jane Blancett

Martha Jane Woodward Blancett, 89, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024, after a brief illness. A devoted member of the Berclair Church of Christ for many years, Martha Jane also served as a long-time manager of the Billing Department at Humko/Kraft Co. Her warm spirit and dedication to her family and community will be deeply missed.

Martha Jane is survived by her loving sons, Mike (Demesia) and Jeff (Lauri), and her grandsons Riley (Martin Florimon), Nicholas (Kendall), and Jonah (Michelle Oropeza). She is also remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby; her son, Chris; her parents, Acey and Pearl Woodward; and her sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Bill Hatmaker.

A proud graduate of Humes High School in 1953, Martha Jane cherished her time as a member of the “Humes Bunch,” where she enjoyed lifelong friendships. She also enjoyed spending time vacationing with her family in Gatlinburg and Orange Beach.

Services will be on Thursday, December 12, 2024 with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with services to follow at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN 38122. The interment will be held at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd., Memphis, TN 38134.
