Peggy was born July 23, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee to William and Virginia Riley. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, William and Virginia Riley; husband, John William "Skip" Dutcher; daughter, Penny Jean Dutcher; and sisters, Kitty Yarbrough and Judy Gregory.
Peggy is survived by her daughters, Terry Balton (Jeff) and Donna Branson; grandchildren, Jonathan Branson (Annie), Katherine Nadreau (Tim), Joshua Branson, Joseph Branson (Brittany), Jacob Branson (Hannah), Justus Branson (Ellie Milar), and Andy Balton; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Kaiden, Addie Mae, Reagan Faith, Riley, Nicole, Marie, Connie, Jonas, Abigail, Isabelle, Leah Marie, Ashley, Landen, and Kailynn; and great-great-grandchildren, Karter and Kinsley; nephews, Jimmy Yarbrough (Trudi), Johnny Yarbrough (Becky), Jacob Yarbrough (Laurie), and Dab West; nieces, Loretta Andres (Dennis), Kasey Astor (Bobby), and Susan Lee; and brother-in-law, Warner Gregory.
Peggy had a passion for helping others. She never met a stranger and loved everyone no matter their beliefs. Peggy had a voice of an angel and a smile that would light up any room. She was incredibly faithful to God and her love for others was a testimony of her faith. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. She was an inspiration to all.
The family would like to thank the staff of Crossroads Hospice (especially Christina and Tessa) and the caregivers Lori and Derreka.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 28 beginning at 9:00 AM until funeral services at 10:00 AM, all at Memphis Funeral Home - Poplar Chapel. Interment will immediately follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
