Larry Stephen Borders, age 71, of Memphis, TN, passed away suddenly in his home on July 14, 2023 from natural causes. He was born on Feb. 8, 1952 in Brownsville, TN to Larimore Borders & Hilda English Borders.
Larry, AKA Ironman, found the greatest joy from the simplest pleasures in life. He loved listening to live music at different venues, antique cars, dancing, riding his bike and especially his family and dog ChiChi. Larry was a hard-working man and retired from Schering-Plough as a Pressman after 30 years and retired from Mercury Printing after 20 years this May. He worked two jobs most of his life including Kroger and Schnucks.
He was an active member of Leawood Baptist Church and loved the Lord. He graduated from Treadwell HS in 1970.
Larry is survived by his mother, Hilda Borders Wilson, 2 children, Stephen Borders (Stacy) and LaCena Borders, sister Patricia Borders Stanley (Lanny), 4 grandchildren, 3 nephews, 2 nieces and beloved family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years Catherene Casey Borders, and father, Larimore Borders.
